This quote by Arnold Schwarzenegger emphasizes the power of choice and the importance of taking action.
Every morning, we are presented with two paths: one of comfort and inaction, where we remain in the safety of our dreams, and another of courage and effort, where we actively pursue those dreams. The first option might feel safe and easy, but it leads to stagnation. The second option, though challenging, is the path to growth, achievement, and fulfillment.
By choosing to wake up and chase our dreams, we embrace the potential within us. We acknowledge that our aspirations are worth the effort and that each day is an opportunity to move closer to our goals. This mindset transforms our mornings from mere beginnings into powerful moments of decision and action.
In essence, this quote inspires us to take control of our lives, to be proactive, and to turn our dreams into reality through consistent effort and determination. It’s a call to rise above complacency and to live each day with purpose and passion.
BSA is here to encourage and develop these qualities in our youth. Win or lose, there are lessons to be learned in team sports that our athletes take with them and apply long after they leave the pitch. The goal is not just to score goals, it’s to set goals, to work hard, to develop focus and integrity, to be a good teammate and good sport, to respect others, and to build character. Through soccer, we aim to nurture well-rounded individuals who are prepared for the challenges of life both on and off the field.
Soccer teaches a variety of valuable life skills that extend far beyond the pitch:
Teamwork and Collaboration: Soccer is a team sport that requires players to work together towards a common goal. This fosters a sense of cooperation and the ability to communicate effectively with others.
Perseverance and Resilience: The game teaches players to keep pushing forward, even when faced with challenges or setbacks. This resilience is crucial in both personal and professional life.
Decision-Making and Problem-Solving: Soccer involves quick thinking and strategic planning. Players learn to make decisions under pressure and solve problems on the fly1.
Discipline and Time Management: Regular practice and games require a commitment to a schedule, helping players develop discipline and manage their time effectively.
Respect and Sportsmanship: Respecting teammates, opponents, and referees is a fundamental part of soccer. This respect and sportsmanship translate into everyday interactions and relationships.
Leadership and Responsibility: Whether as a team captain or a supportive teammate, soccer encourages players to take on leadership roles and be responsible for their actions.

Dear Buckeye Community,
I am a US soccer referee assignor for youth soccer games within your community.
I am reaching out to all of you in an effort to help generate a new group of referees to help us curb the declining referee numbers we have seen in our referee pools over the past few years.
In addition to getting paid to help the game they love other benefits to becoming a referee include
1) gaining a better understanding of the game.
2) providing an opportunity to give back to the game
3) setting your own schedule
4) opportunity to watch/participate in many more games than would be possible as a player
5) opportunity to continue your drive to improve.
All training can be completed online. So new referees will be ready to go when the season starts.
Registration for New Grassroots clinics can be completed at https://learning.ussoccer.com
For more information on clinics and how to get games you can reach out to me via email refdadmedina@gmail.com
